How exciting is this? Our first edition of our new company newsletter, What’s New at the Plate! I hope that you will find the content informative and useful.

As we close out our 2024 Fiscal Year and prepare for FY 2025, the WNP leadership team has been hard at work determining our Key Strategic Objectives for the year ahead. This includes putting together our Sales Budget, determining Departmental Expenses, Capital Expenditure Budget and more. One factor that will be critical to our success going forward is achieving Level 2 CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) compliance. We expect to be notified soon.

This means that, to conduct business directly or indirectly with the US government, vendors will need to be Level 2 CMMC certified. An audit will determine if we have a compliant, secure computer network and IT infrastructure that will protect sensitive data for our defense and aerospace customers. This important, strategic move will bring in new business opportunities and allow us to retain our existing Department of Defense customers. Many companies like ours that do not invest the necessary time and resources to earn this certification will leave opportunities on the table for others, hopefully, for us!

In other important news, this month marks WNP’s 60^th Anniversary: Our Diamond Jubilee. Founded in April 1965 by Marcel & Sheila Geopfert —through sheer will and determination — our company has grown and prospered into what you see today. It is great to reflect on where we have been, but I like to keep looking forward to where we are going, and with whom.
