Reports to: Department Lead
Summary: Inspect and package parts for conformance to specifications to ensure quality product is delivered to our customers
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- To maintain the highest quality standards and the right to stop production of any job if those quality standards are not met
- Willing to assist in any and all areas within the company on an “as needed” basis
- Visually inspect parts for defects
- Wrap and package products for delivery/shipping
Level 1 Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Good hand and eye coordination
- Basic math skills
- Basic blueprint reading
- Ability to determine inspection criteria based on work order
- Can differentiate color shades, measure part size and compare surface textures to visual gauge
- Strong organizational skills
Level 2 Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. (Includes all qualifications from previous level)
- Can utilize manual measuring tools (pin gauges, calipers and etc.)
- Can apply inspection criteria’s that is customer specific
Level 3 Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. (Includes all qualifications from previous level)
- Can perform First Article inspections (dimensional layout) and PPAP’s
- Use the Optical Coordinate Measuring Machine to verify part dimensions
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma, GED
- Previous inspection experience preferred

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Inspector may sit or stand while performing jobs
