Willington Nameplate believes in giving back to the community, so when the Town of Stafford announced this “cool” fundraiser, we were all in!

2nd Annual Polar Bear Paddy Plunge postponed to March 29 (originally scheduled for March 1).
On March 1st, weather conditions were unsafe and the surface ice at Staffordville Lake was over 18 inches. Despite best efforts, the ice remained too thick to safely cut and remove in its entirety to accommodate our plunge participants. Additionally, onshore beach conditions were icy and hazardous. Our top priority is the safety of all participants, volunteers, and emergency personnel, and the conditions on March 1st did not allow us to guarantee that safety.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming everyone on March 29th. For more information on this event, visit the town’s website here.
