Dept of Defense Sets Hard Deadline for CMMC Compliance: November 10, 2025

The Department of Defense recently confirmed its final deadline for government contractors to be CMMC Level 2 compliant by November 10, 2025.

Since 2021, Willington Nameplate has been working toward Level 2 CMMC Compliance in anticipation of the hard-and-fast deadline from the DoD. That day has come.

Ahead of many competitors, WNP is well-positioned to continue working with aerospace and defense primes and their tiers with its 90 SPRS score, achieved in April 2025. It is ready to absorb new business due to many suppliers being unable to achieve this complex and costly compliance requirements.

A SPRS (Supplier Performance Risk System) ranks companies that have fulfilled a series of cybersecurity measures to ensure sensitive government data is protected by their supply chain vendors.

“A 90 puts us (WNP) in the Level 2 range (>80% of the total compliance score of 110), identifying that we are a low-risk, high-performance manufacturer entrusted to handle sensitive project information for custom nameplates and labels,” states WNP president, Brett Greene.

Now that the deadline has been set in stone, WNP wants to communicate its Level 2 status to companies that may not be ready for the transition.

“Many aerospace buyers may not have a list of CMMC Level 2 suppliers on deck to handle their orders after November 10th.  We are reaching out to everyone who will be impacted if their IT or QA departments have not set them up for success. Pairing with us now avoids late orders, hefty expedite fees, and air-on-ground situations,” explains Sales and Business Development Leader, Natasha Watson, who sees the chaos that will surely come when everyone realizes they’re not ready on November 10th.”
