You may not have put much thought into how important “Branding” your company actually is. Branding is when people remember your business name and can associate it with your industry without the aid of your advertising being present. We as consumers do not tend to pay much attention to brand names that have become synonymous with our every day lives. By definition a brand consists of a name, a logo, slogan and/or a design scheme associated with our product or service. But it is more than that. It is a symbolic embodiment of all information connected to the product and serves to create associations and expectations around it. More simply put, “your brand is your promise to your customer.” So develop your brand image by giving it a personality or a unique “image” that will stick into the consciousness of consumers. Your business’s perception is what makes customers feel that your company is trustworthy and successful. Branding helps to build your corporate identity and it is derived from who you are, who you want to be and who people perceive you to be.

Part of the reason why mega corporations spend a ton of money on designing a logo is because it is far easier to remember a picture than a few lines of writing.
