On Wednesday, March 25th, the team gathered to get a refresher from Quality Leader, Dave Daly on FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and How to Detect Counterfeit Parts training.
As part of our AS9100 certification, we are required to review the protocols and standards we have in place throughout the company.
Head Coach Brett Greene explained that this level of scrutiny originated in the aerospace domain, where the tiniest bit of debris, in the wrong place or dislodged, can affect critical operations costing money and impacting safety.
Dave also reviewed the various ways counterfeiting can show up in our business, as well as the many checkpoints we have in place for detecting and reporting counterfeit parts and materials.
Willington Nameplate has its own Quality Management System based on AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, and IATF 16949:2016 requirements, and our employees are well-trained on their obligations to the QMS.
