Reports to: Department Lead
Summary: Responsible for the handling of metal sheets through a variety of processes such as brushing, roller-coating and chemical treating/cleaning
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- To maintain the highest quality standards and the right to stop production of any job if those quality standards are not met
- Willing to assist in any and all areas within the company on an “as needed” basis
- Load pre-painted sheets into a Naptha tank
- Scrape metal sheets of excess paint
- Clean and prep metal sheets for their next operation
- Pre-brush and finish brush metal sheets as required
- Support resource for paint and etch operations
- Ability to prioritize the departments workload
- Understanding of all chemicals used in the department and their safe handling
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Read and comprehend blueprints
- Communicate effectively both written and verbally
- Solid organizational skills
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma, GED
- Entry level position requiring no previous experience
Physical Demands (reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties):
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to pass a breathing test and be fitted for a respirator
- Long periods of time standing
Grade level: Hourly Hours per week: 40
